On the afternoon of July 2, 2021, the first professional judges meeting of this year was held in the Nanzhou Trial Building of Guangzhou Maritime Court, in the presence of Member of Party Leadership Group and Vice President Wang Yufei, Vice Director of Maritime Trial Center Xu Yuanping and senior judges above the fourth rank attended the meeting.  Vice President Wang Yufei presided over the meeting.

This meeting of professional judges had two topics: "The application of 5‰ measurement tolerance for bulk cargo" and "The issue of the collection of case acceptance fees when the parties only request confirmation of contract invalidity without claiming for payment of disputes". After undertook judge introduced the case details and corresponding issues, the other members of the collegiate panel provided supplementary explanations on the collegial opinions. Afterwards, there was a heated discussion among the judges on the two topics. They provided enlightening suggestions and formed a majority opinion on both issues for collegiate panel reference. In the end, Vice President Wang Yufei suggested the collegiate panel to conduct in-depth investigation and discover the highlights on the case, which may be shared with the higher court through a written report to make efforts to create excellent maritime cases.
